4th of July Parade – Oak Park, IL – 2016

Hopefully this year’s Fourth of July will be more lively, be more interesting, but this is a youtube video someone made showing the parade from 2016. ugh.

Happy Memorial Day from the Oak Park, Il blog!

Memorial Day in the United States was first started to honor American Civil War veterans in the Union, then extended further to all those who fallen during military service during World War 1 but It did not become an official holiday until 1971!

I know right, WTF??? Remembering people who have given their lives for freedom and basic human is very important, and today is a day that gives us all a chance to remember them and be thankful.

These are some links that discuss more about Memorial Day:

While you are partying it up on Memorial Day thank a veteran!

Oak Park, IL blog: Contributor

I did mention my friend Sarah will be writing a contributing blog post that talks about all the hatred she has in her heart regarding Oka Park, IL it is still in the developmental stages but it will come soon she tells me. I also have another blogger that has reached out to me about their feeling about Oak Park, IL, so I will be working with them about posting those “wonderful” thoughts here as well. Ann has discussed a couple of subjects via email that she wanted to talk about, and since this is America, and blogs are here on Oak Park, Il are based on experiences with this shit hole, I am going ahead to see what she has to say.

Now that is not a definite but do not be surprised to see a “contributor” label on some of these posts very soon! It is true that not everyone loves, likes or even gives a shit about Oak Park, Il and why should they be silenced because it does not meet the conformist, fascist standards of Oak Park, IL? This little village can suck my ass and sell the rest of their properties to Sweden for all I care. Being the bastion of freedom that I am, I cannot wait to help give them a voice, and a place to talk about their shitty experiences with Oak Park, IL. Oh, and you can too just comment and everything and anything.

PS: I love Swedish pancakes so if Oak Park, Il sells their entire village to Sweden, I know that is not possible, but I would be pleased. I would be sooo happy to have Swedish pancakes with lingonberries everyday as long as I am here. Truly, try them, they are the shit.

On President’s Day in Oak Park, IL

On President’s day I slept, because I was emotionally drained from the day before, I stayed in the whole day, got my tea and sat here to write some posts for the blog. I was dreading coming back to my apartment in Oak Park, Il I was off from work, and I took the day off from school and even going outside in Oak Park, IL. Driving through the area on Sunday, early in the morning was stressful enough. The area is crazy as hell to get through as is, on a Sunday morning but there are a couple of churches in the area so the traffic gets kind of crazy due to all the parents wanting to drop their kids off for Sunday School. I remember those days when I was innocent before I was even warped by Oak Park, IL.

When I got up and told Sarah fuck the shower and the breakfast I have to get back to the apartment and run through Oak Park, IL like Harrison Ford in Raiders of the Lost Ark (the opening scene)! I hate to be so dramatic but she went through the village a couple of times to visit me or go to Mama Thai or even going up Harlem Ave to get to the Northwest side. Hence, Sarah definitely understood. One of the problems I had was the amount of runners that had one kid in a big ass stroller, one kid barely keeping up with them while they were walking a huge fucking dog, meanwhile, they could not get across the street. As they all finally got across the street I rolled down my window because it was soooo nice out, and yelled: “Stop multitasking!” I mean geez their multitasking could get their kids ran over if I was not paying attention due to texting or was one of those road rage freaks you always hear about on the evening news.

But this did not happen once but like four, FOUR fuckin times! You could not script this coincidence in a movie the audience would have found it as unfunny as I did with this stupid repeating joke occurring over and over in a five-minute span during the film or Television show. Usually, a 24-minute drive was now an hour long as I was trying to get the village of Shit Park, IL by side streets. After life was done testing my patience I got home showered ate some Cocoa Pebbles cereal (yeah I am an adult!), wrote and caught up on my Netflix then slept. Oak Park, IL is so draining that it wasted my weekend and my free day off, ugh, I really hate this place.

Happy Holiday! Happy Martin Luther King Jr day!

Happy Holiday! Happy Martin Luther King Jr day!

This is, of course, a great day because most of us have it off, but it’s also a great time to celebrate diversity in our area and our country. Even though places like Oak Park, Il like to say they are diverse and steer most of the minorities in Oak Park, Il to live near the Austin border, we can still keep the dream alive and fight these type of mindsets by keep speaking out and keep fighting against overt and covert racist practices such as the one I have aforementioned.

You do not necessary have to be black to actually reap the benefits from MLK jr’s sacrifice either because of his stance we have better ideas about cultural understanding and intelligence this helps us practically in everyday life, as a people, as a country, a global power and as a single race of humanity. As we become more cultural intertwined we are able to overcome our differences and the ignorance that is out there, this is not some liberal fantasy, or cuck erotic story, just plain common sense.

We are all on this planet together so we might as well get along, and for those who wish to practice overt and covert racism whenever they want, (how do I say this eloquently?) can …. suck a big long one. Enjoy one another and let the old haters sit in their corners and bitch. Remember the man, take a stand, and enjoy your MLK jr. day in the memory of this great man.

Peace and Chicken grease.

Happy Thanksgiving from Oak Park, IL

Instead of bitching how punk ass the residents of Oak Park, Il are, I decided to instead post something about Thanksgiving, more specifically the History of Thanksgiving as presented by History.com. I love history any history and around this time before the big day we are “forced” to spend with friends and family, we should know a bit why this holiday was created and its origins.

I have a lot to be thankful for especially when you compare our lives to the less fortunate, however I do not think that is the viewpoints here in Oak Park, IL. Therefore, that is why I am concentrating upon the meaning of Thanksgiving to take solace in Native Americans (as told by popular belief) helping the early pilgrims survive that first autumn here in America.

Here is the link I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving no matter who’s house you have to go to, what you are “forced” to eat and no matter who shows up to annoy the hell out of you. Happy Thanksgiving!

To: Oak Park, Il Trump won

Oh and Trump won, I figured that would happen with the number of Oak Park, Il residents posting signs from Hillary, especially my favorite bitchy neighbor down the street. With that kind of support there was almost some type of voodoo railed against her.

Eh I voted Johnson wonder what Sarah Silverman thinks about that? She would probably say “grow up” yeah I did and how do ya like that? I wonder how my favorite bitchy neighbor feels about her fucking parking spot now?

I don’t care to ask I just hope she gets the chance to Suck Trump’s old ding dong. There has been such a hit to the liberalism here in Oak Park, IL it is almost like they are shell shocked. It was like that Saturday Night Love with Dave Chappelle in which these idiots are still trying to do the math or figure out how they sue someone so that Hillary can be President!

Come on now, let’s be adults and move forward? Nah I rather be bitchy about it and still think change is possible but with the right person. There is still 2020 to look forward to if you are still pouting.

Happy Labor Day from Oak Park, IL blog

Happy Labor day I hope this Labor Day since it is my birthday to be somewhere in relative peace and quiet translation: I will not be in Oak Park, IL LOL! I will be away from all the rude stuck up attitudes that look at me and my people “funny” and be somewhere we are wanted. That means we take our dollars elsewhere to celebrate this great event (my birthday) I will not spend a dime more in a village that nickels and dimes the people living it in, myself included; then to only have those people act like they have no common sense or manners towards me!

Labor day is the day of the worker something that Oak Park, IL has no idea about as they as I aforementioned nickel and dime residents out of their hard-earned money and have one of the ignorant parking restrictions in the Chicagoland area. The whole village gives the impression that it wants only a cultural elite like Ernest Hemingway (who again did not like it here) or Frank Lloyd Wright, note they did not recognize cultural icons like Betty White or bill Murphy because I guess they work in fields too low brow for Oak Park, IL, too pedestrian or too simple or maybe just too proletariat for this village.

Well, I thank God for the average worker who pulls themselves up by their bootstraps day in and day out to go to work every day (with the occasional sick and mental days thrown in) to work for their paycheck. Not everyone is a Hemingway or a Wright who by the way was not even born or raised here! I am glad that the Department of Labor has sanctioned this an official holiday so that my friends and family who are not from Oak Park, IL (and thank God for it) can spend some time with me on this special day.

This special day (my birthday) is hopefully a special happy day for everyone who reads the blog and if you need to patronize any areas for celebratory purposes try to make it a non-Oak park, IL day and go to either Chicago, or one of the other suburbs in the area that welcome diversity and your money (i.e.: Berwyn, Melrose park, etc.). I hope you enjoy this day with friends and family or just by yourself Happy Labor day everyone!
