Marijuana Town Hall Meeting October 2nd

There is a Marijuana Town Hall Meeting October 2nd at Julian Middle School 416 South Ridgeland Avenue, Oak Park, IL, 60302 the groups throwing this little event sound like they just want to bitch about how the devil’s lettuce is going to impact their little village. Not acknowledging that most of their kids are probably smoking it anyway. Having a meeting or town hall in a school seems like a lot or a way to stokes the fears of parents and residents that placing the meeting in a school will highlight the dangers of weed. Or even maybe stoke their fears when it is unnecessary. Most of the suburbs that do not want the ability to sell recreational marijuana obviously have other illegal drug issues and are fairly famous or well known for having a reputation as a place to get the hard stuff.

Therefore, rejecting marijuana on the basis of unfound fears is just silly. Whatever these groups have in mind is probably going to limit how it is disbursed and sold which will in turn limit the revenue that the village can bring in and thereby relaxing the taxes that residents pay on an annual basis. For a place that espouses that it has a hippie flavor or outlook on the world but to turn around and have such stogie or old-fashioned ideals is crazy. Like ex bitch crazy.

Surely, the market of marijuana recreational sells is excellent so that Oak Park, IL can have another source of revenue and another way to grow small businesses in the area. This will also reduce the taxes upon the other established business in the area and extend their profit margins. Also, having a marijuana market in the area will bring some life to this boring ass village and that is desperately needed.

Here are the sites that were posted to announce the “meeting” at Julian Middle school:

Recreational Marijuana sold in Oak Park, IL -Yes!

I heard there will recreational marijuana sold in Oak Park, IL finally! There is some good news about Oak Park, IL I cannot wait to get some and lite that shit up in the hallways here. The lack of crystal-clear entertainment in the village at least with all the new taxes we are getting as a result of a new state administration we will get something that can calm us all down. With the lack of bars or adult entertainment, I mean the real shit not this “Johnny come lately” and/or “entertainment lite” crap. The lack of growth of an actual outlet for adults, creates a huge market for cannabis, even the most stuck up person, in my experience will be able to relax or better entertain guests.

The vanilla that is Oak Park, IL will get a huge upgrade in the right direction and hopefully the purchases made at the recreational dispensaries will lead to an increase in revenue for local restaurants. So, for example, Seven Point Medical Cannabis Dispensary in downtown Oak Park will bring a ton of extra traffic, physical and economic, that the downtown has not seen in a long time.  I am not sure the village will be able to figure out the parking issues that coming with this gold mine of fun. But then again, the dumbasses that run the village should have planned out the downtown area better to open day incur the growth that is coming and will come in the future.

Of course, the village will be taxing cannabis sales at 3% so the village will be getting something out of the deal, I hope that the local restaurants will be getting some of the excess business due to the munchies the Cannabis customers will have. I know I have tons of friends that will be frequenting the area, the cannabis store, and a lot of the restaurants in the area. Finally, there is a win-win situation in Oak Park, IL

Oak Park, IL is distracting

It’s so distracting to be in Oak Park, il. The traffic going so slow you can read a book while you drive. The pretentious neighbors who cannot wait to tell you how the world should be viewed and how silly you are if you have a slightly different view. I forget to write altogether or in the timetable that I wish to proceed the writing process with. The whole thing is like a clusterfuck, everything that you have planned, becomes dust in the wind. Even all the energy that you may have had is sucked away like this village is some sort of mythological mermaid, using it’s beauty to suck you in and then dashing you against the rocks of oak park’s harsh reality.

Then you sit in your place at night, wondering how you are dealing with this shit. Possibly could this be karma or if it’s just a bunch of mean-spirited people who present themselves as a gift to God’s green earth and you were just too hoodwinked to see the truth. Again it’s great the state is legalizing marijuana because a lot of us need it or a lot of alcohol to deal with the mind-numbing state of this village.

Hopefully I don’t get pulled over driving home one of these days because the vacant look in my eyes is not from drugs it’s from the soul draining enterprise of existing in Oak park, IL that has created it.
