I hate Facebook and Google. I tried to post last week’s postings on Blogger via Google and got the runaround. I need a verification code to get in the account, but it came like 4 days later. Therefore, today I am going back and logging in, and rushing to put those four posts on today for the only two people who read the blogger version of this blog.
Its almost as if Google/Blogger wants to meet Facebook in being outdated. I have had a lot of issues with Google, more than I have had with WordPress. And when it comes to Facebook, its just a mess and I have not been on it for a while. The worse part about it is that WordPress no longer works in conjunction with Facebook, therefore I have no real reason to check it. Making that program/app obsolete as well. I think that when it comes down to it, I keep the Blogger account just as a back up to the WordPress account.
Over obsessive, I guess. Therefore, that is why these posts are late, and now you can see why posting anything on a blog can be a challenge. Creativity be damned coming up with new blogs all the time is hard but when you have technical issues added to it, one’s hatred for the technical becomes apparent. And the challenges mount and become evident to everyone.
Every once in awhile I like to mess around and make desktop wallpapers stating how I feel about Oak Park, IL and since Google is being a total ass about their social media platforms nowadays I think I will post my latest creations in this blog.
I like to be sassy assed about the wallpapers and the message it has so do not expect Shakespeare on these creations just download the one you like and have fun!
Heard this before? Well I am at it again with this collection of desktop wallpaper creations called “Oak Park, IL can suck ass” I basically started to play around with my original wallpaper called “Oak Park, IL can suck ass” that I made from PowerPoint. I just played around with the hues, shading and filters to give me the crap you can download for the hell of it.
Have fun, you looney motherfuckers!
I have been looking for an online website that I can just post all the crap I have for this blog so far. And since sites like Myspace tend to lose about 16 years of data on you and Google decided to drop Google plus ruining how we communicate and share files online. I have went searching for another site to post my stuff I have gathered for this blog.
Yes, I have all the blogs for the last couple of years saved to an easy Microsoft Word document and I can read my rantings on the toilet or even have it backed up forever (ha ha Oak Park, IL!). I of course have a lot of stuff on Google docs due to the blog being on blogger.com however I think I will allocate the files on multiple storage platforms so that I will not have to worry about constantly checking in on the files status nor worry about if the company that runs the storage site is in business or wants to be bothered with the job of storing my shit. I read a couple of articles regarding file storage online and I will list them below.
However, I might try out https://www.mediafire.com/ first since it has the most storage space for free and go from there. So, if you see a blog saying download all this shit from this blog, pictures, blog posts and wallpapers from a filesharing site with “oak park, il blog” in the title don’t be surprised.

Ah, so now Google Plus will go the way of the dinosaur. All the groups that I tried to market or promote this blog through will be gone. Good bye high traffic! LOL That is okay I will find a way to promote it. That is also why I have the Oak Park, IL on WordPress as well. I feel that they (WordPress) is missing the boat on having a group or news option to promote their user’s blogs but what the hell do I know?
All I know is that Google wanted to milk every dollar from me to promote the Oak Park, IL blog. I had to cancel the whole thing because I felt there was not that much bang from my buck. It seemed that Google was more or else wanting to get paid off of me venting about Oak Park, IL and that is it. Meanwhile, in comparison Word Press was and is a place that just gave me a place to do it but not much else. But I am happy in a way that Google Plus is dying because Google never tailored the apps under this umbrella to its users and therefore deserves the “death” coming in April.
That does sound bitchy but there are probably a lot of other people who feel the same way I do, while lamenting the lost of their established groups and platforms to promote their blogs. I say adios to Google Plus and hope something better comes along so I can dump the majority of these old blogs upon that site or system. There is nothing better to know that even a huge corporation like Google must admit that some of their products do not work and that they must concede to failure.
Hopefully in the long run, there will be other companies (organizations) that will pick up the slack and deliver a better product we can use for our blogs and give more than a rat’s ass which is evidently how much Google cared. Now they reap the whirlwind.
I have made a new Halloween wallpaper collection its generic as all heck but it’s something younger kids might like. Nothing too scary nothing to violent just flat 2d images of a Vampire, Ghost and pumpkin/ghoul. I have saved it for easy downloading on Google Plus (collections). I made it into three different posts to separate the groups, making downloading for all the youngsters as easy as possible. Just don’t let them read all the other crazy stuff on here okay? LOL

So I posted a couple of pictures from my visit to my old stomping grounds, I had to take the pictures in the go. Tons of addicts, and people who were looking at me like I was crazy for trying to take a picture of some of the buildings in the area. I posted it in its own collection for these pictures on google plus here: I also took some pictures of oak park, Il and placed them in the various pictures of oak park, Il for your viewing pleasure. Here is the links to the collections.

This “Jupiter project” was opposed successfully however once the opposition blinked the village board made their move, much like the Albion development. The Mayor stated that the village can walk away from the deal but how much is that true when the village board purchased the deal after the opposition waned? The argument that other village boards tried to do the same is just a childish explanation, but one that the residents of Oak Park, Il buy into.
The project or multiple projects that the village is planning to use this parcel of land for is probably extensive, if Plan A does not work then they will try and try again even if it means defaulting all the way to Plan F or Plan Z.
The village board is relentless in trying to make these new “high rise” development projects work and become reality. Their resolve is fantastic and for that you must tip your hat at, the fact that the residents cannot do the same, nor remember these moves when election time comes around is part of the problem.
The plans for redeveloping the area go back to at least September 2016 however stated dates are usually not the fact of the matter. In other words, planning for developing this piece of land has gone back most likely farther than I care to Google it. As the old saying goes: “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me…” however the residents will “turn the other cheek” until they are taxed or have the taste slapped out of their mouths.
I love how the village is redeveloping the main streets of Oak Park, IL with high rise developments to stay off increasing taxes (as the argument goes). But I am just wondering when will the high-rise developments come to the inner parts of Oak Park, IL? Is that when the opposition to these projects be unrelenting or will it be too late?
