Oak Park, IL is famous for signs so why not ones for those who are sick (to follow)???

The apartment is so dry, people are that disgusting, and ventilation is that poor I am glad I have my humidifier. I literally had a lady turn and sneeze at me, in my face as I was walking up to the line at a local Walgreens I mean, straight in my face. Like there is no recognition of how diseases are spread or that this is flu season, just nasty, and this was just after I watched this special on PBS called influenza 1918.

So now I am all freaked out because I have a tickle in my throat just a day later after this “woman” sneezed on me. Oak Park, IL and other burbs could do a better job posting signs about how to avoid the flu than trying to put up confusing parking signs or plastic bag tax signs or shit like that. Obviously grown adults have no clue about how to operate in public when the flu is going around or just have some type of health etiquette in general.

I hate to be judgmental but one look at the woman who sneezed on me keeping clean is obviously not on her list of priorities. I try to keep at least 12 feet away from people like this but I was coming really fast out of an aisle and around a corner very quickly so it is partially my fault.

But if We can be honest if we have all these stupid signs about other dumb shit how about some temporary ones regarding public health and particularly this flu season, just seems to make sense.

Oak Park, IL is wrong!

The flu is going around and unfortunately, I have been so sick that I have been only able to go to work, come home, watch SOME TV, fluids, fluids, fluids, and go to bed. So just look at it as a mini break however I got sick from nastiness. Although I have been able to write a bit, it just needs to be scheduled and posted. A lot of it are things that I have already said regarding the veneer that Oak Park, IL tries to shine up for the rest of the area and world, that it is without fault, well, whoops they have been active in proving me right and that illusion wrong.

You hate for anyone to be victim to crime, assault or just being bamboozled but the way this year is unfolding all the “trash talking” as some people might call it. Is all being backed up. All you have to do is read the local paper or watch the news, which makes it easier for me to rant or not rant at all, and take a holiday, because Oak Park, IL seems to be eager to show its stupidity this year! All the while I can just sit back a drink hot (earl grey) tea, eat chicken noodle soup, have a couple Ritz crackers for a snack or even prepare a few cough drops for the inevitable gnashing while just sitting back and watch the lie unfold. Thanks Oak Park, IL for proving yourselves wrong.

People in Oak Park, Il please shower!

I woke up on Sunday to do the wash and to get out the apartment since it was warmer, I went out to mingle with humanity. And good Lord I use humanity lightly I try not to judge but honestly if you cannot handle the night before then hang it up. I literally smelled people, alcohol and ass through their winter wear (coat, hat, etc.) So it helped with my diet because I did not eat.

The smells turned my stomach sour, and I honestly could not go on, thinking about, touching or eating food. It was not a pride thing it was more of a sanitary issue, especially with the flu season being strong this year I did not want to risk getting nauseated from the smells then getting sick because of my immune system taking a major hit. I just do not understand how people have made looking and being unshowered and unclean fashionable.

I mean to the point it does not look like showering was considered important in the morning, but the morning latte at Starbucks was. Hey I wash my privates! I worry about being funky before I leave the house everyday even If I do not leave, a shower takes place. I mean this is Oak Park, IL so how things are perceived are of the utmost importance therefore the reason I am smelling stank through winter clothes is disturbing.

Is there no civil pride? Maybe it is an environmental thing where people try to use as less water, soap, deodorant or toothpaste as possible? I heard about that before it was a hippie thing in the 60s or 70s like that, but I am not sure why it is coming back now. But please people of Oak Park, IL please stop the madness, and take a shower before you interact with the rest of us. Please.
