Forest Preserve closures near the Oak Park, IL area

Just so you know that the Memorial Day weekend will have closures at the local Forest preserves. This is so that you idiots who like to congregate and spread disease together without a care for anyone else will not have these various venues to go to. They authorities are urging people to stay at home and enjoy themselves there. Obviously, it is a shame that the local authorities have to tell local residents this but since people are complete morons such measures must be taken.

These areas include the Dan Ryan Woods and Schiller Woods which are pretty close to here, I am surprised the Thatcher woods was not mentioned. Of course, we need at least one place for “cruising” LOL You know we will get someone wanting to push the “envelope” and complain or protest physically at our local forest preserves and thereby putting themselves, local first responders, and everyone in jeopardy. By hey these people feel “oppressed” and will go ahead and move forward with putting their stupidity into action.

When in reality, these people should just stay at home to enjoy the holiday. Maybe they should also read a book, or google some moments in time that dealt with oppression like the “trail of tears” or maybe the American internment camps of the 1940’s. Then and maybe then these idiots will get a slight idea what it means to be oppressed.

No fourth of July for Oak Park, IL due to COVID-19

The Fourth of July parade and fireworks has been cancelled!

Due to COVID-19 and the social distancing rules that we know residents will not obey there will not be a parade nor fireworks. Now is this really an issue?

I mean does freedom need to be celebrated with blowing up shit, shooting guns in the air and walking down a tight ass street up someone’s ass? Nah. The Fourth is just a day. America is us. We do not need a parade or fireworks to prove it.

This is the article regarding no Fourth of July:

United flying full flights has got me worried about Oak Park, IL

Yeah, after seeing the article about how United packed a flight full of passengers I am not sure if I am flying for awhile after the lockdown subsides. United has stated that they have “empty middle seats” but the photos that have been listed online show otherwise. If there are any trips in my near future, I am going on road trips so that I am not in a closed recycled air environment. The flights were bad enough with no leg room and having people on sitting top of one another.

The idea that a company like United would state that they would not fill middle seats on their flights, and going ahead to doing so without backlash, is just stupid. I am not going into various venues here in Oak Park, IL when there is a reduction in lockdown measures as is. But I will not go into a plane with a those few idiots who want to travel while sick and yes, there are still people like that. It is not worth the extra hours saved in travel if you lose your life.

Here is the article talking about United packing people into one of their flights during the pandemic:

Colorado and United can be occur here…

Now, I want to point at the coffee shop in Colorado and the United flights packed with passengers as two very good examples of businesses screwing up reopening measures and people just following with a herd mentality causing more issues. I bring this up because as June comes around and I know Oak Park, Il businesses and residents will follow suit and act like a bunch of idiots putting us all at risk, again.

I know that the residents will be glad to be jammed packed into stores, ignoring the six-foot CDC guideline just to be out and about “in the world” with other people. Pathetic. Many of the businesses, events and streets here in Oak Park, IL are really not made for social distancing, in fact, they are built for the “quaint” interactions of human beings. Loosely translated: everyone is basically on top of each other buttfucking while in line waiting for other idiots to have their items scanned by the cashier.

Therefore, I believe (my assessment), when the slightest relaxation of the lockdown rules goes into effect, we will see the morons out and about. Acting like they never been outside or seen the inside of a store. But that is okay, because that is their choice. However, note, there is always a second wave to this type of thing, and there is always someone stepping up to be guinea pigs for this shit.

Nine more cases of COVID-19 in Oak Park, IL

The village has nine more cases of COVID-19 bumping the total above 200 people, for a little village like this it is a lot of people. Although the article does mention the victims are people in their 30’s and 40’s it does not mention possible areas where they may have gotten this virus. Such as a park or a grocery store, such data can help the rest of us, and the organizations linked to the ground zero of their infections to properly work with this issue.

Plus, with four thousand extra cases being reported just recently, and people itching to open up businesses, we need all the data we can get. Especially for me, and other introverts that want to keep our mental states together and stay healthy. Hopefully, the other idiots who need exercise and to show how committed they are to their regime and will use this data to take the necessary precautions as well.

One Stop Comics needs our support revisited

I made a web page about this subject, but I felt it was important to repeat, that one of our local staples in the village One Stop comics has started a Go fund me page to help balance out the cost of closing during the pandemic.

Without any new comic books to sell, and not being considered an essential business, the cost of having a physical store without new product to sell is extensive. One Stop Comics is a true small business story of a guy doing what he loves and making it work for decades while becoming a fabric of the local community. In fact, his store is always full during free comic day. Where he tries to engage each customer (as he always does) and help cultivate the kids’ interest in reading during this annual event.

Now, due to the coronavirus expenses are added up and to save this institution there is a go fund me page to help assist this Oak Park, IL institution stay alive. Not only is a great place to visit but being a fellow Cubs fan, it is a great place to talk sports and comics. So, donate and/or spread the word to help this institution:

House Party during lock down!

How great is it that there was a house party here in Chicago? Oh yeah, the coronavirus is still going on so great thinking there. Idiots. I do love that the homeowner went on the local news to apologize (without showing her face) but had her grown ass son come on the same interview to apologize and show his face and exposing this moron’s identity.

This grown ass man disabled the security bell/camera and totally cleaned up the apartment, when his mother was busy. The mother is a first responder who was away for 24 hours therefore giving the son a huge timetable to enact his stupidity. The son states he was “being young” and did not know the severity of the coronavirus. Which is bullshit.

I mean he cleaned the entire place up before she got home and he disabled the security system so that the mother did not get notifications about the 200 guests he got that night.  The only reason the mother found out was because the cops showed up to give her a citation.

Although it was the son’s fault, she was the one cited for the party and she is trying to work with the alderman and the Chicago Police department to get it revoked. This is entirely the wrong thing to do, this “kid” is 26 not 16. He is a grown ass man and the mother should get punished for letting her stupid ass spawn get away with something like this. It sets a precedent for future cases if it is excused or not, being a first responder does not mean you should be exempted from the consequences of breaking a quarantine which the majority of her colleagues are actively supporting. Today’s “younger” generation just needs to man up and accept responsibility for their actions and their parents need to stop being their friends.

Here is the article which talks about the incident:

Corona issues at the Hines VA

Thanks to the Coronavirus now the “essential workers” at Hines VA Hospital on the westside are now being threatened. I put that term essential in quotation marks because these people are considered essential until they ask for more equipment or raises due to the conditions, they face due to this virus. And then they become selfish or told to do their jobs. That whole essential term goes away at that point and these workers become an issue or a problem.

These essential workers especially become an issue when people want to get their hair done or have this overwhelming need for someone to serve them. Then the selfishness comes barreling out and these essential workers are no longer praised but yelled at or denounced by people with less education than a dog. Instead of giving the people trained in all this shit what they need and ask for, we rather bitch or try a work around to get out of meeting these needs.

The last thing we need is to have essential workers walk out and protest that they are not getting what they need because of  basic greed by politicians or worse yet, the trash, that we see on the news not caring “if they get it (coronavirus)” Simple compliance will carry us all through this bullshit but so long as people remain selfish and greedy all of us will NOT get there at all. And the first step is to give these workers at Hines what they demand, immediately.

This is a local article talking about the protests:

Dirty Stores in Oak Park, Il and elsewhere

You go into the stores to go grocery shop you see the signs that state they are opening at a certain time. The reason why they open at this time is because they have to do a cleaning in a certain way to make sure the COVID-19 does not spread to their workers and customers. With that said, it makes you wonder what the hell were doing before the pandemic in regard to cleaning.

How dirty were these fucking stores? How filthy were they and how did they help with the spread of other viruses beforehand? Now with the new hours in place are these businesses cleaning in according to some mystical guidelines that the rest of us are not aware of? Is this where all the cleaning supplies that we, as customers, cannot find on store shelves?

How do we know if these workers are really cleaning the stores properly, especially since the majority of the time we go into these stores most of these employees are apathetic? Which you cannot really blame them, but how can we trust that it is done right? Are there classes or training sessions done to make sure that the employees are knowledgeable in cleaning and disinfecting for COVID-19 are is the whole cleaning process making things worse?

More cases of COVID-19 in Oak Park, IL ..great

The village has been hit with more cases and deaths. With more people are now tested positive for COVID-19 bringing the cases up to 120+. In such a small area, this is a disaster. The idea that Oak Park, IL is immune has faded and now the community atmosphere and attitudes that are ingrained into its residents are now the reasons that lead to this quarantine’s extended length.

With the rise in cases the village and its residents need to reexamine how it leads its day to day activities. The tight ass restaurants, stores and supermarkets will need quite the redesign when they reopen. I do not think people are going to forget the danger of this pandemic for quite some time. Even if a vaccine becomes available to the public, I am pretty sure we will all be giving the evil eye to those who open mouth cough in public for quite some time.

The only silver lining to this whole thing is that people are now being self-aware. Self-aware of how nasty they are and how nasty the people around them are. Things have to change in order for things to get better and the village now needs to do a total 180 to get ahead of this virus. And I believe it will take a very long time for that to happen but also a huge attitude change to occur.
