Oh man so the city of Chicago is going to have its first African American woman as a mayor one that is considered an outsider. Anything is better than that old principal chick raising sod taxes on everyone. This is the sort of change needed in Oak Park, IL, a one of the blue, way outside the box type of person that can come in and demoralize the status quo and shine light on the entrenched idiots that are in local government today and do what is really needed to look out for the residents of the village.
Hopefully Oak Park, IL can take this as a hint to vote in new blood and do not let the April 2nd elections be an end of demanding change. I hope people get tired of bitching about changing things, tired of complaining about traffic, parking and taxes and vote in people who will get things moving. Moving into the right direction for the village itself.
Here is the link that shows the results:
I was reading this candidate’s bio for the April 2nd election for Oak Park, IL and one of the main things that hit me was the fact she believed that racism was a main problem in the village of Oak Park, IL. Besides losing shared values and Economic classism these are three things that Oak Park, IL has shied away from facing. And to the point this candidate understands the overall decisions and attitude that Oak Park, IL has and has made impacts the village and the communities around them.
The truth is seeping out on how the established residents here, in their “open-mindedness” are really not as such. To see that others are speaking out about racism here in Oak Park, iL and running on eliminating it or fighting against it at least is refreshing. It is a shame that it would be someone that most residents would consider an outsider that is leading the fight to save Oak Park, IL from itself, save its values and how the rest of the area perceives it. In the end it is not words, or little signs in the front lawn that make an impact it is actually actions that do.
To have a candidate run upon changed the narrative on how Oak Park, IL defines itself speaks volumes. That Oak Park, IL may have a chance is reversing the downward spiral that it really is in. What Oak Park, IL does not want to become is a place or area that most of the area knows as a “place that you are not welcomed” if you are of color or anything else. What Oak Park, IL wants to become is a welcoming village that has values, affordable housing, affordable taxes, great parking, easy traffic and sensible government. Maybe this candidate can help start the conversation into that direction.
This is the candidate’s profile here:
The funny thing about the Oak Park, IL residents suiting against a project for affordable housing is that they are using regulations regarding height and parking/traffic restrictions for the area. The first thing you think of when residents sue against affordable housing when they state it would bring down the property values is blatant racist. The you look at he excuses they use “traffic” “parking” “construction height” etc. and in a way, you are like: “man they may have a point.
That’s if the height restrictions for the village was not set aside for all the construction near Lake and Harlem avenues and traffic in that area has just gotten worse. So really these excuses are bullshit. You may even state that Lake and Harlem is considered downtown Oak Park, IL and is different from this more residential area but is it really? Then you also have to think when will Oak Park, IL think about the future when it comes to developing the properties in the area?
Is traffic and parking a valid excuse when this is a problem that occurs everywhere in the village already? No, it is a problem because affordable housing brings minorities and poor people to their affluent area. Property values going down because of affordable housing? Maybe. But what the hell is there now? Do a Google search there is an empty lot. I am pretty sure that lowers property values than a huge four-story building.
Therefore, to me again, Oak Park, IL is just showing its true colors. A lawsuit against affordable housing is just a victory for injustice, the one thing Oak Park, IL states as a community they are against. They state and post little signs on their lawns that “Hate does not have a home here…” Well I think it has found one on Oak Park Avenue and Van Buren Street.
Here are the articles describing the lawsuit:

So now we got 7th graders sharing racist images so school field trip, nice. Most likely he shared it with someone who was not too careful in hiding this idiot’s racist bullshit. Now, before you say “yeah but that stuff is everywhere” or “there are a lot of things that can be considered racist nowadays” today’s grade schoolers are more alert to what is considered racist than us adults are.
The fact that it happened it Oak Park, IL does not surprise me either. It has been become the breeding ground of where dormant racist feelings are coming to light. Now we all now Oak Park, IL has been like this, going back to my past example of cul de sacs in the area bordering poorer areas. Oak Park, IL’s progressive idea to keep poor people for going Indy 500 through their neighborhoods. And now we are surprised and make a highlight of this type of behavior?
Most likely this type of behavior has gone on long before this kid showed up and probably was exhibited by their parents either at home, when they went to school or maybe at a parent teacher conference with a bunch of like-minded friends. The latter is a conjecture, but you get the idea, the “apple does not fall far from the tree” or maybe it is behavior learned from friends either way it is Oak Park, IL.
Hopefully the school can bring in someone with sometime of culture sensitivity training or develop some learning materials from online to help their students gain some type of awareness. Mainly so that the little bigots know that they are not the only type of people in the world before they leave the bubble of Oak park, IL and stop sucking their mom’s racist tit. If you want to operate in the world properly you have to realize there are others different than you, and if you think something like a racist image is “cool” or “funny” think again, because you just got yourself, your family and your community labelled as racists. Good job.

Here is a site online that discusses lesson plans for understanding stereotypes
Okay I was in Broadview the other day going to the super Target as I was driving through the massive parking lot I got behind this slow ass minivan just strolling through the parking lot and I was right behind her. Ugh god the misery this bitch brought to my lead foot, and speedy little car. Just strolling through the parking lot and then got to one stop sign and just sat there. Sat there. I had to honk my horn to get the bitch to move! And when she did it was very slow, me and the other cars behind me were barely holding it together.
The car behind me was swerving left and right to see if there was a way around both of us and I was throwing expletives at the windshield. We got to another stop and again she sat there I had to lay on the horn like wtf? She finally moved like a turtle turning into an opposite lane, so I laid in my horn. That is when i noticed the Oak Park “night” sticker in her back window truthfully this bitch needs to permanently park this shitty minivan forever.
My point about this story is that no matter I go in the Chicagoland area the shitty slow ass drivers of Oak Park, Il follow me. It is not just an epidemic contained to that suburb but follows you no matter what. It is a mentality that is ingrained into these idiots very soul. There is nothing that can be done to somehow extract it from their routine. When these idiots have the wheels, they abuse it for the rest of us obeying the speed limit. Obviously, this is the reason people move to Schaumburg or Oak Brook because each time I am in these suburbs the traffic, the drivers move around those streets just fine.
So therefore, it is a cultural thing, that is not easily dismissed and something that needs to be retrained retaught and readjusted, yes all of the above because it is annoying and dangerous to have these fools just strolling through the neighboring suburbs and streets driving like this. I hope that police departments in the neighboring areas simply pull over or stereotype anyone with an Oak Park, Il parking sticker in their back window when they are driving like that hopefully that will be the first step in stopping this stupidity.
