Svengoolie 40th anniversary

Finally the Chicago icon Svengoolie (Rich Koz) is going to be honored for his 40 years of broadcast infamy the City Council of Chicago, not Berwyn will be congratulating him on his most amazing accomplishment. His original set is of course at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in downtown Chicago. This icon has made Halloween and B-grade horror movies cool for generations and is finally getting his due.

It’s a shame that Berwyn did not honor this legend in the same vein as how Oak Park, forgets some of their other famous sons and daughters. It has to be a suburb thing. But Chicago is taking advantage of this slip up and hosting an event at the Museum to honor him on October 26th so if you want to go to something cool before Halloween here you go.

The impeccable Svengoolie is also on MEtv on Saturdays and Sundays hosting B-movies to the delight of his fan base and the occasional viewer. MEtv is also celebrating Svengoolie’s accomplishment by selling 40th anniversary T-shirts on their website.

Halloween Idea #416 for Oak Park, Il “fun”

I found another cool thing for Halloween parties this is a Blood Orange cocktail great for ADULT parties (I had to put that disclaimer in there) drinks a plenty bitches! This is a great way to disguise the adult drinks from the kids you might have at your Halloween party and just strange enough to deterring that one punk ass kid from sneaking around trying get a sip.

I also found another list (on Imgur IKR?) of great horror films so if you are throwing a party on Halloween or just staying in, this list is great for entertainment ideas for that night. Most of these movies you should already know but a refresh is always good especially if you are trying to put a party and the entertainment together at the last minute.

To create that fog effect as simply as possible I found directions online through a company in the area that creates dry ice, just not that it is very crazy ass to handle, upon that you must store it properly because dry ice is just carbon dioxide gas frozen. Therefore, if you like to live and breathe storage of the product must be taken seriously if I do go through the dry ice/fog idea I will probably store it on the back porch of the apartment.
