Happy Memorial Day from the Oak Park, Il blog!

Memorial Day in the United States was first started to honor American Civil War veterans in the Union, then extended further to all those who fallen during military service during World War 1 but It did not become an official holiday until 1971!

I know right, WTF??? Remembering people who have given their lives for freedom and basic human is very important, and today is a day that gives us all a chance to remember them and be thankful.

These are some links that discuss more about Memorial Day:

While you are partying it up on Memorial Day thank a veteran!

Happy Holiday! Happy Martin Luther King Jr day!

Happy Holiday! Happy Martin Luther King Jr day!

This is, of course, a great day because most of us have it off, but it’s also a great time to celebrate diversity in our area and our country. Even though places like Oak Park, Il like to say they are diverse and steer most of the minorities in Oak Park, Il to live near the Austin border, we can still keep the dream alive and fight these type of mindsets by keep speaking out and keep fighting against overt and covert racist practices such as the one I have aforementioned.

You do not necessary have to be black to actually reap the benefits from MLK jr’s sacrifice either because of his stance we have better ideas about cultural understanding and intelligence this helps us practically in everyday life, as a people, as a country, a global power and as a single race of humanity. As we become more cultural intertwined we are able to overcome our differences and the ignorance that is out there, this is not some liberal fantasy, or cuck erotic story, just plain common sense.

We are all on this planet together so we might as well get along, and for those who wish to practice overt and covert racism whenever they want, (how do I say this eloquently?) can …. suck a big long one. Enjoy one another and let the old haters sit in their corners and bitch. Remember the man, take a stand, and enjoy your MLK jr. day in the memory of this great man.

Peace and Chicken grease.

Happy Hanukkah Oak Park, IL

Good day to all! Happy Hanukkah!

This Holiday even though it is well known to people of other religions is not really recognized in Oak Park, Il either which pretty much is indicated of Oak Park, IL. So not being Oak Park, IL born and bred, I wanted to throw this shout out to my peeps of the Jewish faith in Oak Park, Il and everywhere else.

Hanukkah again is not a federal holiday in United States however today will be celebrated with traditional songs and Gift-giving as today starts 25th day of the month called Kislev of the Jewish calendar year. I have actually given coworkers at the job who are the Jewish faith dreidels as part of interfaith acknowledgment I will be surprised to see such gestures in Oak Park, Il by any entity that does not have religious affiliation, but again what do you expect living in Oak Park, Il where they are supposedly “diverse”-ha!

Anyway peeps Happy Hanukkah!

Christmas in Oak Park, IL part 2

Did you know that Christmas was not always celebrated on December 25th? Maybe that Christmas is celebrated 13 days after the 25th, in the Greek and Russian orthodox churches? Charles Dicken’s created A Christmas Carol to illustrate the need for charity and good will during the Christmas season. However, it was America that brought upon the changes in the holiday as we presently know it after it was made a national holiday in the late 1800’s. I must admit I had to look at the link below to learn some of these facts about Christmas, as I am not always perfect but this was a great learning experience. The history channel’s website is a fantastic resource for article with Christmas information, videos about, pictures, speeches about the holidays along with other Christmas related information and items. I hope this helps increase the basic religious and cultural intelligence of the residents of Oak Park, IL so that they do not think because they are just putting up lights and going to church finally for annual visit means that they are exhibiting the spirit of Christmas. There is actually a lot more to it, although they are a lot of shallow individuals in this village that always put up a fake front of being “decent” people. I hope that learning more about the holiday will edge them closer to the practice of actually being that individual.

Christmas in Oak Park, Il part 1

Christmas in Oak Park, Il should bring out the best of people, the good Christian people of Oak Park, Il who do not celebrate that many other holidays, that do not have the cultural intelligence to celebrate or accept other cultural based holidays. This also leads to a basic ignorance of the real meaning of Christmas accepting what is culturally acceptable, meaning, the more commercial side of the holiday. Getting back to the basics of this Christian holiday, it is all about the birth of Jesus, yet we take away from it there is a standard of mandatory gift giving.

Giving gifts is the “be all end all” for this holiday now, and children everywhere expect a gift upon this holiday, Greed instead of generosity has replaced the mainstream message of this holiday, Christmas has become more of a corporate holiday than a religious one although it is very similar to Diwali. The holiday of Christmas no matter what the denomination has as it, a foundation of giving and selflessness not of wish lists and the force fraternizations with everyone and their mother. However, I am hopeful there are people in Oak Park, IL who do still grasp upon the original Christian beliefs of Christmas and still give of themselves as per those religious beliefs. To help understand better this famous and misconstrued holiday I have set up in this post a couple of links that discuss the customs of Christmas and includes for a countdown clock to Christmas.

This is a website that details different customs for the Christmas holiday: http://www.whychristmas.com/customs/

I have added a website here that may add to the Christmas for the kids: http://www.xmasclock.com/

Trump wall or Oak park, Il cul-de-sacs?

I was in a store over on Harlem and Lake and I overheard two ladies talking about how Trump is going to build a wall and how racist he is, now I do not care where you are in this debate the last thing you want if you are against such a wall is to get the help of hypocrites from Oak Park, IL on your side to help. Hypocrites? Yes, since 1964 to about 1977 Oak Park, IL built cul-de-sacs as a means to limit the traffic from a growing black population in the Austin area, which Oak Park, IL shares a border with. With arguments of stemming crime and undesirables the cul-de-sacs were built to mystically stop criminals from coming into Oak Park, IL does that sound familiar?

Exactly! So to hear anyone from Oak Park, Il to bitch about Trump’s wall or how racist he is, with these cul-de-sacs still in place is just ridiculous. A cul-de-sac does not stop robberies, murders and rapes look at the crime statistics for this area plus there are articles stating how ineffective cul-de-sacs are to stopping crime citing the Oak Park, IL cul-de-sacs as an example! Ugh what is the old saying? “People who live in glass houses should not throw stones..”?

How about before you are butt hurt about how racist someone else is, you look around you to make sure that your own actions do not exhibit such racist. Why? Because actions speak louder than words. Trump could never build a wall, saying it costs too much, then what? There will still be the Oak park, IL cul-de-sacs on Austin. What if Trump gets his way and does build a wall? There will still be the Oak park, IL cul-de-sacs on Austin. The point is while these Oak park, IL cul-de-sacs on Austin still exist, no one from Oak Park, IL especially from the time of their origin, should bitch about building walls and how racist people are. Just look in a mirror then take a drive down Austin Ave, and you will see an example of Oak Park, IL’s own type of wall, right here in “paradise”.

Here is the Chicago Reader article about the “Negrophobia” that hit Oak Park, IL summing up how it created the cul-de-sacs on Austin today:

This is a Chicago Tribune article abut how ineffective cul-de-sacs like the ones on Austin dividing Oak Park, IL and Chicago are, all the way back in…. 1993!!! LOL:

Happy Thanksgiving from Oak Park, IL

Instead of bitching how punk ass the residents of Oak Park, Il are, I decided to instead post something about Thanksgiving, more specifically the History of Thanksgiving as presented by History.com. I love history any history and around this time before the big day we are “forced” to spend with friends and family, we should know a bit why this holiday was created and its origins.

I have a lot to be thankful for especially when you compare our lives to the less fortunate, however I do not think that is the viewpoints here in Oak Park, IL. Therefore, that is why I am concentrating upon the meaning of Thanksgiving to take solace in Native Americans (as told by popular belief) helping the early pilgrims survive that first autumn here in America.

Here is the link I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving no matter who’s house you have to go to, what you are “forced” to eat and no matter who shows up to annoy the hell out of you. Happy Thanksgiving!

To: Oak Park, Il Trump won

Oh and Trump won, I figured that would happen with the number of Oak Park, Il residents posting signs from Hillary, especially my favorite bitchy neighbor down the street. With that kind of support there was almost some type of voodoo railed against her.

Eh I voted Johnson wonder what Sarah Silverman thinks about that? She would probably say “grow up” yeah I did and how do ya like that? I wonder how my favorite bitchy neighbor feels about her fucking parking spot now?

I don’t care to ask I just hope she gets the chance to Suck Trump’s old ding dong. There has been such a hit to the liberalism here in Oak Park, IL it is almost like they are shell shocked. It was like that Saturday Night Love with Dave Chappelle in which these idiots are still trying to do the math or figure out how they sue someone so that Hillary can be President!

Come on now, let’s be adults and move forward? Nah I rather be bitchy about it and still think change is possible but with the right person. There is still 2020 to look forward to if you are still pouting.

Happy Veteran’s Day Oak Park, IL

Happy Veteran’s Day people!

I hope to see those flags out there and all around in Oak Park, Il but these are some ignorant mofos and that’s why I am making sure the vets know someone is thanking them!

The reason it is celebrated today is to mark the signing of the armistice of World War One, a “period of silence lasting two minutes may be held at 11am..” it was ordered by President Ford in 1978 to officially recognize November 11 as the day to recognize America’s veterans on this day.

I Voted! HAHA NO to the stupid OPRFHS Pool!!!!

I took time out upon this very special election day to vote my conscience, and my hatred for badgering mailers, and decided to vote for the best route I believe for the village of Oak park. I voted no to their stupid pool because the village still did not illustrate the benefits of the poll to me, whether it was in the short term or the long term.

If you are paying for something you want to know what you are paying for, and how it benefits YOU in the short and long runs. No talk about new jobs or new businesses or tax breaks just pay more money on your property taxes, which thank GOD I do not own any here in this seedy little village.

Well, I am off to throw my sticker in the garbage and go about my everyday life, because after today America gets not want it needs or wants… it gets what it deserves!

I found this fun clip on how one family is protecting their freedom of speech:

Either aisle of the political spectrum you are on its hilarious!
