Oak Park, IL wallpaper: Oak Park, IL can suck ass

Every once in awhile I like to mess around and make desktop wallpapers stating how I feel about Oak Park, IL and since Google is being a total ass about their social media platforms nowadays I think I will post my latest creations in this blog.

I like to be sassy assed about the wallpapers and the message it has so do not expect Shakespeare on these creations just download the one you like and have fun!

Well I am at it again with this collection of desktop wallpaper creations called “Oak Park, IL can suck ass” I basically started to play around with my original wallpaper called “Oak Park, IL can suck ass” that I made from PowerPoint. Oak Park, IL is just counterproductive against progress

Going back last year there were white supremacist flyers littering the village, this year racist graffiti, protests etc. therefore to have anyone say there is race baiting or basically ignore the racial issues bobbing to the surface in Oak Park, IL is ridiculous. However, you do have people who rather take offense, than admit there are issues. I love how the denial is lead off with the term “race baiting”! Oh, okay I cannot wait to hear this responsible argument.

But this is the issue with Oak Park, IL you have people who have been so privileged for so long that when that position is questioned or when others different from them ask for fair treatment; there is a fight. With the questioning of opinions with corrections or corrective action so that the opinion is turned upon the person or group that raises the questions is just deflecting from the real issues, very similar to what you would see in court room tv. This in itself is not counterproductive it just makes the problem even worse. Because in most cultures, the term “counterproductive” means that there is a way to repair it: the problem, the issue, the relationship, etc. even though there was a negative impact recently caused.

No, here correcting others in such language makes sure that the discussion is not allowed or not even brought forth. It shuts down others from even speaking up or wanting to interact. Much like an abusive parent being taught positive means of childrearing and reinforcement of positive behaviors in child development. The problem is, that in Oak Park, IL we have people who rather cling to how things are because it means no change and reduction in power. It means that they would not have to share, change, learn or be forced to become the ideals or illusions that they espouse to hold dear or even be. That takes work and self-reflection and there is definitely a lack of that type of humility in Oak Park, IL.

This is the opinion piece that talks about race baiting:

Doing different something for Oak Park IL, blog

Doing something different and writing a couple of blog posts for holidays that don’t mean much to everyone else. Like teddy bear day, or maybe even Sweetest day.  I have already made a blog post for next St Patrick’s day that is very clinical. That way I can just go enjoy the day without having to worry about posting about the day on the day. So, of the issues with a blog post is that unless you have a major following and can generate the add revenue to make a living you cannot quit your day job.

I definitely have too much in student loans to quit my day job, and you know what rent is like in the area, but I cannot see myself writing this blog if I had Bill gate’s money either. Therefore, I guess I am at an impasse with me, posting about the bullshit in Oak Park, IL. When it comes to Oak Park, IL it is almost like that shining little shit village on the hill that looks down on Chicago, however is almost fucked up like Chicago but its worse because of the size and population ratio. Meaning that even though I am writing about these upcoming obscure holidays, trust me, Oak Park, IL will be in my sights for future posts.

Oak Park, IL blog on Mediafire.com

I really am loving this Mediafire account currently I have uploaded a bunch of picture collections, wallpapers and 350 blog posts in 3 different formats. The formats I have the blog posts in are Word, rtf and pdf (simple text) for those who just want to read the rants or for my own backup purposes.

I have about 3 groups of picture collections so far and my photos from my visit to Oak park, IL’s conservatory, although it is very small (the conservatory) I managed to get a lot of photos that you can use for whatever. Again, the photos I have taken are very amateur however some have come out very well so please use the hell out of them. Here are some links to the files on the Mediafire account—-

Blog posts: http://www.mediafire.com/file/yr74mjnllpq9n6c/posts_1_to_350.zip/file

Conservatory photos: http://www.mediafire.com/file/s33ia6lucdbh1ug/oak+park+conservatory+photos.zip

I will probably create other filesharing accounts for the blog for (again) backup purposes or for those who like funky desktop wallpapers or need pictures of the surrounding area to use for whatever purpose they have in mind. But for free and no motherfucking filler.

Oak Park, IL: the Connelly’s Public house letter

Meanwhile as I was ranting and raving about how Oak Park, IL does not take care of the local businesses in its downtown area. I believe I forgot to post the letter that Connelly’s Public house (that’s the name!) posted to their door when they closed slamming Oak Park, IL for their business failing due to the construction of the nearby condos in the area on South Boulevard.

The posted letter is damning, funny and altogether true, Oak Park, IL does forget local businesses in their village and does not promote them the way they should.  Because unless you physically walked in the are you would not have known that Connelly’s Public House was there or that the Chinese restaurant before it was replaced by it! Oak Park, il is sure quick to remember its “history” but not to promote its present commerce bodies in the area.

When you think of the tax revenue alone that is lost by failing businesses in the area as residents, it does make you sick to your stomach. In the photos I got of the area during construction, you can see it is a nice sunny day, however there is no traffic, car or foot in the area. However, if you go a block north there was tons of traffic. Oak Park, iL must do better in promoting and acknowledging that businesses are in the area for them to flourish and help us care the immense tax burden that the village officials like to heap on everyone here. Hell, to even bring in tourists and local shoppers or even establish a better night life scene Oak Park, IL has to do better by looking out for businesses like the Connelly’s Public house before the entire downtown area becomes a ghost town.

Finding a place to backup all the files for Oak Park, iL blog

I have been looking for an online website that I can just post all the crap I have for this blog so far. And since sites like Myspace tend to lose about 16 years of data on you and Google decided to drop Google plus ruining how we communicate and share files online. I have went searching for another site to post my stuff I have gathered for this blog.

Yes, I have all the blogs for the last couple of years saved to an easy Microsoft Word document and I can read my rantings on the toilet or even have it backed up forever (ha ha Oak Park, IL!). I of course have a lot of stuff on Google docs due to the blog being on blogger.com however I think I will allocate the files on multiple storage platforms so that I will not have to worry about constantly checking in on the files status nor worry about if the company that runs the storage site is in business or wants to be bothered with the job of storing my shit. I read a couple of articles regarding file storage online and I will list them below.

However, I might try out https://www.mediafire.com/ first since it has the most storage space for free and go from there. So, if you see a blog saying download all this shit from this blog, pictures, blog posts and wallpapers from a filesharing site with “oak park, il blog” in the title don’t be surprised.

Bar Louie closing in Oak Park,IL

I recently heard that the Bar Louie in downtown Oak Park, IL is going out of business following the Five Guys basically across the street. Almost a year ago the brew house that replaced Szechwan Beijing went out of business as well. The Commercial corridor that Oak Park, iL believes their downtown to be is a literal wasteland of empty storefronts and revolving door businesses. The main issue involved with that is the problematic parking that sucks the oxygen of any dinner plans tourists may have.

I loved the letter that the ill-fated brew house left on the door of their business as they closed, they felt that Oak Park. IL did not assist them when there was the new construction for the condos down the street which played a heavy part in their low foot traffic. Also, I think the fact the business was on the other side of the green line track and “removed” from the initial downtown area did not help either. I took a photo of the letter for your enjoyment, I hope you can read it.

Being away from the downtown area and away from any type of parking also helped in destroying the foot traffic going to this business and probably the old Szechwan Beijing restaurant too. The parking in downtown Oak Park, IL does not in any way allow the customer to freely relax and take their time to shop the various stores in the area. Unfortunately, the parking garage and other various parking alternatives rush one out of the area as soon as possible. A basic “get In” and “get out” travel plan, this does not allow any business in the area (established or new) to grow or even cultivate current clientele or attract new ones.

Although Bar Louie was not a favorite of mine, I will be sad to see another business gone because of a bad location and a village that does not have the business sense to really develop the areas they say they are developing’ but that is Oak Park, IL

Here is the link alluding to the closure

New Chicago mayor: Lori Lightfoot

Oh man so the city of Chicago is going to have its first African American woman as a mayor one that is considered an outsider. Anything is better than that old principal chick raising sod taxes on everyone. This is the sort of change needed in Oak Park, IL, a one of the blue, way outside the box type of person that can come in and demoralize the status quo and shine light on the entrenched idiots that are in local government today and do what is really needed to look out for the residents of the village.

Hopefully Oak Park, IL can take this as a hint to vote in new blood and do not let the April 2nd elections be an end of demanding change. I hope people get tired of bitching about changing things, tired of complaining about traffic, parking and taxes and vote in people who will get things moving. Moving into the right direction for the village itself.

Bucking the plastic bag tax in Oak Park, IL

I hate the plastic bag fines that Oak Park, Il has in the village. I went to the local Jewel on Roosevelt avenue without any recyclable bags and had to pay the stupid fine for plastic bags to carry my own groceries out. Now it does sound kind of harsh to say “fines” but it is what it is. It is just another way for Oak Park, IL to take in extra cash and tax its residents for something else. If its not overtaxing them on parking permits, then its other services and property taxes that will empty the pockets of the average Oak Park, IL resident.

This tax not only impacts the residents but the renters and tourists that flow in and out of the village. This extra tax although it harkens to the environmental side of one’s being it is still not helpful in reducing the usage of plastic bags in the village. All I have to do in order to bypass this stupid tax is use some common sense and I have all the plastic bags I want or even stuck my nose up to the village government. Also, it is a way to get all the plastic bags I need for my small garbage cans either in my bathroom, bedroom or even for the one near the couch in my living room.

The first way to excise my brainpower and get away from the village tax is easy. GO outside the village limits, for example, one little car ride to the Walmart in Forest Park, IL and I got a store with almost equal selection of goods and most likely better prices. To top it off the plastic bags at Walmart are … free! No taxes!!! Take that Oak Park, IL but that is probably something everyone knows. The second way is only good if you are buying fruits and/or vegetables, because the produce sections is littered with free plastic bags. You know the ones you use to bag your fruits and/or vegetables?

Well just take a couple extra bags and double bag your produce items so that once you are done paying for your groceries in line, you can bag your other items ether in the same bag as the produce or separate. And the best thing about it is no taxes!! Take that Oak Park, IL!
