I have been trying to find this article about nurse Donna that works at an Oak Park hospital. Her contributions to the west side of doing Free heart screenings for the people who usually cannot afford it. It was mentioned on NBC Channel five (I believe it was Wednesday) as a feature because nurse Donna was honored by the American Heart Association for her work. However, I looked on the local papers online and there was no mention whatsoever about it.
This is disconcerting because this is the type of reaching out that Oak Park, Il needs to do with the local areas and especially with the West side of Chicago yet there are individuals that are actually doing this fantastic type of work but there is no mention about it. I think there needs to be kids involved or something cute involved to get full court press, hopefully more medical professionals who are willing to Volunteer their time to help the community around us.
I mean I will keep looking but it is really crappy that she did not get a mention in the paper as a thank you or for future motivation. Or maybe as a stimulus to others as I aforementioned to increase nurse Donna’s actions to a local full-blooded program or at least give her and the patients she sees some extra help. I will keep looking for a mention somewhere Online but until then kudos to nurse Donna! Thankfully there is another good thing coming out of Oak Park, Il and nurse Donna is definitely It.
