More Crime in Oak Park, IL at my fav 7-eleven!

Yeah, so crime hit one of my favorite stops on my way to the downtown area the 7-Eleven on Chicago avenue was hit by two bozos with a gun. Kind of crazy because every time I go into this location there is either a cop leaving, or coming in as I leave so I thought this was a better or safer location but I guess I was wrong. I wonder what all the taxes that the residents pay to go to?

Oh right, that money is going to be used for swimming pools they cannot use and helping developers pimp out downtown Oak Park instead of paying for more cops. Or are the cops are even doing their job? For some of the stupid crimes that are listed in the article below, it seems this is either a mixed bag answer or just a standard “no” especially when the offenders fleeing on foot from this 7-eleven location.

These are some of the dumbest criminals on the face of the planet who only got $60 for their troubles and then run away to …safety because they are no cops to stop them. Of course, Oak Park, IL’s government is not concerned with important matters like safety or parking issues for its residents just the high rise and making a buck off the trust of the residents.

Why the incumbent trustees are kicked out, a resident’s point of view

Oh man and I thought I hated Oak Park, IL you should really read the article on the Oak leaves (Oak Park’s “newsletter”) it is straight to the point letter on why the village board lost the elections! You can feel the hatred in every sentence! Obviously, there are issues with the Mayor and how he is developing Oak Park, IL then oh dog poop is another thorn in the side of the residents!

Oh, this author hates basically the same shit I do, no wonder why I have readers! There was such a hatred for the incumbents of this board during the election that the residents must have come out in droves to vote. Not only that but also sat down and wrote an article analyzing why the idiots who lost the election were fools to believe that they would win. Which in turn started a great discussion in the comment section about the issues facing Oak Park, Il, at least I am not the only one who see that this village is being fleeced.

Here click on the link regarding this fantastic article regarding this author’s opinion of the election: http://www.oakpark.com/News/Articles/4-11-2017/Why-were-the-incumbent-trustees-defeated%3F/

Oak Park, IL school board president voted out, hopefully, more progress on the way!

I will not lie to you I could not tell you who the hell Jeff Weissglass is from my asshole, but all I know is that this dumbass was one of the people behind that damn school pool problem. Just so the village can nickel and dime you for everything to parking passes for daytime parking, nighttime parking, restriction after restriction, but give this idiot the power to piss away $40 million dollars on an inclusive pool that only a few people would use.

So there is a question why he did not get reelected? Really? Are people that stupid in Oak Par.. wait they are. No more like bordering on self-delusion because this douche bag thought he was doing the right thing, and that is why the dumbass got voted out. Yup and other D200 board candidates were also cut by the voters, so who will replace this sac of stupid? Who knows the school board is keeping that under wraps and to themselves like this is a dictatorship or some crap not remembering that Oak Park, Il is located in America.

Goodbye to that jackass I hope the voters get it right again next time and vote the others out. Viva Revolution!

Prince Channel (YouTube) playlist: For the 1st Anniversary of Prince’s death

Growing up my parents listened to various artists, however, there were two artists that they always played Michael Jackson and Prince, after awhile of hearing both artists I eventually grow up listening and liking Cypress hill (Westside), Rihanna, and Eminem mostly to drive my folks crazy. However, I always to these two mega artists due to long car trips on vacation or what I thought were long trips as a kid, to visit family. Schaumburg and Norridge are not that far to the adult me!

But when I forced to listen to one or the other it was always an easy choice: Prince. I must admit I thought this dude would live until 70 something playing guitar and having girls 50 years younger than him dancing around him forever. I did at first like the fact his cussed as a kid and teenager you tend to like the things that buck the system. That and the man had a music catalog that could extend on for hours so this was an easy choice. Although I hear it is an issue of “great debate” to me it is not.

When I heard last year that he died I was like “what?” it was weird to hear a mainstay of your life even if indirectly touched by that person, to all the sudden die. I wonder if this is how Oak park residents of the times of Wright or Hemingway felt, it leaves you thinking there will never be someone as talented or original this person. I am a big lover of guitar work nowadays and Prince is probably the most underrated guitar players on the planet. So in respect of this talented artist I have made a YouTube, com list with some of his best and unknown songs.

Here is the list that is on this link for the Prince Channel I started:

  • Prince “Cream”
  • Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL – MARZ
  • Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL – ANOTHERLOVE [Official Lyric Video]
  • Billy Jack Bitch
  • I would die 4 u
  • Prince 1999
  • Prince Let’s Go Crazy Kiss in Arsenio Hall Show, 1991
  • Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne and others — “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”
  • Prince – GMA June 16, 2006
  • 3RDEYEGIRL Let’s Go Crazy Reloaded The Beautiful Experience Aarhus Denmark Aug 72013

Here is the link for the Prince Channel it is only 10 videos so far but a good start: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBTSySTdmLMpMHnc1o2_outBwxgC6KCJz

Oak Park, IL related: Chicago Cubs schedule

I have to try to get it together for the new Chicago Cubs season I have only seen a couple of innings of the first four games and I totally missed the ring ceremony and had to search for online. But for all the fellow Cubbie fans out there I made sure that I got the schedule right here for easy download.

Click the link here for the downloadable printable schedule: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/chc/downloads/y2017/2017-Cubs-Schedule.pdf

I hope the Cubs go all the way again to the World Series and bring it all home again. Because I definitely love the experience and trips to Wrigleyville my home away from home (Oak Park, IL ugh).

Oak Park, IL -River Forest Election results shocker

Okay the people of Oak Park, Il have surprised even me! After the general election, I was shocked! You actually did good and voted out at least three incumbents that were supported by the development groups turning Oak Park, IL into little Chicago. These candidates Dan Moroney and Deno Andrews won by better margins than the Village Manager Association backed candidates. Hopefully with residents like these in positions of power maybe, and I do say, maybe the village board of Oak Park, Il will get focused on issues that really concerns the residents like traffic, parking, etc., not just fleecing the downtown area to local developers.

So, this is one of those various instances that I must say KUDOS! to Oak Park, IL. I truly hope there is an atmosphere of transparency and communication as a result of this, fingers crossed. But until they get all the idiots off the village board I am not sure there will be major changes in directions or focus made.

Oak Park, IL related: Meijer leaving the area

Now a closing that I am upset about is the Meijer in Melrose Park, just because I do not like to go to the Walmart in Forest Park, Il (it’s fucking ghetto) or the Jewel on Roosevelt (it’s expensive) this store was a welcomed gem in this oasis of pretentiousness. Pete’s is alright but very expensive as well and the aisles are small to the point I am breathing or tasting everyone else’s breath.

The stores that are left do not step up their game and have not felt the reason to do so. Now that Meijer is leaving the area even though it is two suburbs over is was a fantastic alternative to these sloppy expensive stores in Oak Park, Il and in the nearby suburbs. God I will miss their well-lit parking lots that had clientele I was not worried would assault me in some way after shopping for groceries. That is alright I got mace, I will wear my sneakers so that I am ready for giving out some ghetto hoe beat downs.

Here is the article spelling out that bad fucking news:

Happy Songkran!

Happy Songkran to all the OP peeps in Thailand! This is the beginning of the new solar year filled with parties and celebrations that include splashing others in water as a blessing. This also includes visiting temples but it also includes parties and water fights with water pistols, water balloons, etc., nationwide.

It is important to note that this symbolic holiday also involves the pouring of water on the heads of Buddha statues as a means to purify one’s self from their sins and bad luck. So it is not just party all the time! Plus the different regions of Thailand have various ways of further celebrating this holiday, by either using “firecrackers to repel bad luck” (North) to “avoid spending money” (South) either way this holiday is rich in fun and tradition.

So Happy Songkran!

Crime in River Forest and Oak Park, IL

Ah so there has been an uptick in crime in River Forest the area that is usually not touched by crime as Oak Park, Il usually is but now is getting the brunt of its isolationist policies. Both suburbs are linked together in more ways than one, and unfortunately, both are bordered heavily by poor black areas. Oak Park, Il has the Chicago Austin area and River Forest has the suburb of Maywood, I mean if I was on a board of trustees or governing body I would try to reach to these areas to see what I could do to bring some economic development to these areas so hopefully it would attract investment back into these communities and reduce crime.

But noooooo, Oak Park hides behind cula-da-sacs and River Forest hides behind a huge network of Forest Preserves as if criminals wouldn’t run through a forest, obviously, the city planners never watch a Friday the 13th film before. As the crimes are more economic based than run of the mill crazy violence. Therefore, it must be determined what are the motivators behind the criminal’s actions and there is nothing more motivating than living across the street from a bunch of self-delusional shmucks who think an address guarantees safety.

I thank god am not one of those people and I am paranoid, as the good people of Oak Park, Il like to call it, 24/7 but at least I still have all my shit. So until these burbs take the reasonable approach and help build up the communities around them the problem will always exist and problems like these will always get worse.

Burglaries in River Forest rose in this article:
